One TRILLION Dollars

Some people believe that a single Superbowl in Santa Clara will pay-off the stadium debt through sales taxes. WRONG. Of every dollar spent, the state & county take 8.5 cents. Of that 8.5 cents, Santa Clara gets one percent or 0.085 cents. The debt will be 850 MILLION DOLLARS! That means a Superbowl will need to stimulate spending a total of (850,000,000/0.085 = ONE TRILLION DOLLARS! and only in the city of Santa Clara.
